Privacy Policy

Reflect Daily ("the app") is made by Highland Perks LLC ("we," "our"), and is built around one rule: your reflections are yours. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what does and doesn't leave your device.
The short version
Your journal entries, photos, gratitude notes, mood ratings, and goals are stored only on your device. We never see them, never upload them, and never have access to them. There's no account to create and no server holding your content. The only thing the app ever sends anywhere is a record of a purchase, if you buy Premium, described below. There are no analytics, no crash reports, no ads and no tracking.
1. What stays on your device, always
Every reflection you write, every photo you attach, every mood rating, gratitude note, and goal you create is stored locally in the app's own database on your device. This includes:
- Journal entries and gratitude notes
- Photos you attach to a reflection
- Mood ratings and activity/goal tags
- Goals, their targets, and your progress toward them
None of this is transmitted to us or to any third party by the app. If you export a backup, that file is created and stored wherever you choose (your device, iCloud Drive, AirDrop, etc.) — we never receive a copy.
2. Subscriptions and purchases
Reflect Daily offers an optional premium subscription. If you subscribe, your payment is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store — we never see or store your payment card details.
To manage your subscription entitlement (so premium features stay unlocked, and so you can restore your purchase on a new device), we use a subscription management service, RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives your purchase and transaction identifiers from Apple in order to verify your subscription status — it does not receive your journal content, photos, or anything else you've entered into the app.
3. Face ID / Touch ID lock
If you enable the optional app lock, Reflect Daily asks your device's operating system to verify your identity using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. Your biometric data is handled entirely by iOS and is never seen by, or shared with, Reflect Daily or us.
4. Your backups are yours
The Export feature in Settings creates a single file containing your entries, photos, and goals, and hands it to you via iOS's own share sheet — to save, AirDrop, email to yourself, or store however you like. We have no access to this file and no way to know it was created.
5. Data deletion
Because everything is stored on your device, deleting the app deletes your data. You can also use Erase All Data in Settings at any time to permanently remove everything and reset the app, without uninstalling it.
6. Children's privacy
Reflect Daily is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
7. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes — for example, if a new optional feature changes what data it involves — we'll update this page and update the "Last updated" date above. If a change is significant, we'll also note it in the app's own release notes.
